What you can expect at your loan closing.
The loan closing is where the loan is consummated. In certain states, an attorney has to conduct the closing and in other states only a notary is required. GA and SC are attorney states and FL is a notary state. You will need to bring 2 forms of ID (driver’s license, insurance card, etc) and ALL parties with ownership in the property need to attend. At closing the attorney will review the figures with all parties and ensure that the closing is done properly to insure the mortgage lender has 1 st lien position on the property. Typically closings for refinances take approximately 30 minutes and 60 for a home purchase
